Explore the work of 16 Mendocino Coast artists, inspired by traditional elements of Japanese art. With wood work, etching, painting, ceramics, basketry, printing, cast metal, cast paper, and more, each pieces in this unique exhibit reflects the characteristics of wabi-sabi (imperfect), miyabi (elegance), shibui (subtlety) and iki (originality) in a uniquely western way.
The show is open daily (expect Tuesdays) 10:30-5:00 August 1 to August 30 at the FLOCKworks Studio, next door to Odd Fellows. (corner of Kasten & Ukiah Streets in Mendocino Village) An Opening Artist Party on Saturday, August 9th from 4-7pm. Participating artists will be hosting the show.

- Shizuko McConathy Retrospective, Mendocino Artist Cooperative, Main Street
- Woodblock Prints by Toshi Yoshida and Serigraphs and Paintings by William Zacha, Prentice Gallery, Main Street
- Special event honoring visiting Japanese Artist will be held on August 23 1-5pm at the Mendocino Art Center. Celebrate the spirit of Japan with art, music and food.
