Early morning Art...

Shore line sculptures on Big River... photo by Cynthia Gair
Early morning, most days, begins with a walk along Big River, under the bridge and out to sea.  Much is the same, yet details of the moment... light, mist, tide line, sand patterns, water flow, and so on...create the experience.

One morning last week, the rocks just under the bridge were dotted with sculptures, rock stacks of all sizes, on and around the big rocks.  Some could be seen from the pathway above, and looking back from the ocean side, more were in view.  Yet only by clambering over the rocks at the water's edge did the extent of this amazing natural installation became evident with well over a hundred stacks tuck in the shoreline rocks.

Next morning, the rock stacks were gone.

Wish I'd been there to see it.
